David Steinberger, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Biography


Dr. Steinberger specializes in internal medicine, the care of men and women from young adulthood through senior years. His focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of acute medical problems, the management of long term medical conditions, and promoting good general health. He holds an advanced certification in geriatrics. He has a special interest in electronic health information technology.

Dr. Steinberger is the Associate Program Director for the new Internal Medicine Residency at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Michigan. Dr. Steinberger is Program Director for the Transitional Year Residency at St. Mary Mercy Hospital, teaching and training future physicians. He currently splits his time between supervising residents and his private practice in an office setting.

He is a member of the medical staff at Providence and St. Mary Mercy Hospitals. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency training at Sinai Hospital of Detroit.

Dr. Steinberger's professional affiliations include the American College of Physicians, American Geriatric Society, and several local, state, and national societies.
